Code, Country/Region (table)

Specifies the code for the country/region you are doing business with. You can use official ISO country/region codes, for example:

After a country/region code has been set up, you can enter it in the Country/Region Code field on a customer, vendor or contact card. This links the information in this table to the customer, vendor or contact.

Important
The Code field must be completed if you do business with other countries/regions in the EU. This is because you use the Country/Region table to set up the VAT- VIES Declaration Tax Auth report and to create INTRASTAT reports, which include information about sales to other countries/regions. You must also fill in the EU Country/Region Code and the Intrastat Code fields if you are required to report VAT-VIES and INTRASTAT.

The code must be unique - you cannot have the same code twice in one table. You can set up as many codes as you like.
